Affiliate & editorial disclosure
Where the revenue comes from, where it doesn't, and what could compromise our coverage if we let it.
Revenue sources
- Member subscriptions. N$425/month or N$4,250/year per member. This is the primary revenue line.
- Display advertising. Limited slots in the right rail and footer. Sold through a programmatic network; we do not negotiate direct ad deals with subjects of coverage.
- Affiliate links. Where we link to a vendor (software, data services, professional services) and the vendor pays us a referral fee, the link is marked with
rel="sponsored"and we say so in the body copy. We refuse affiliate arrangements with any party we cover critically.
Revenue we refuse
- Sponsored editorial of any form
- "Native advertising" indistinguishable from editorial
- Direct advertiser influence on editorial calendar or specific coverage
- Payment-for-take-down requests of any kind
Editor holdings
The annual masthead disclosure runs every January. Editors disclose holdings in any Namibian or Namibia-adjacent listed company. Active reporters cannot trade subjects of current coverage.
Affiliate links currently live
No affiliate links are currently live on Namibian Business. This disclosure page is here as a forward commitment; the day we run an affiliate link, this section will say which vendor and at what cut.
